I had odlh ahead on ponits 115-116 after scoring the fight over 12 rounds.But I thought it was a close 1 that was down to how you score a fight.
After a night on the piss I am glad to say boxing is 1 of the main topics of conversation 4 a change ,every person I have spoken two thinks ODLH on points.

ODLH didn't win... THere is no way if you look at the conqu box or in the fight that he won... He missed so many punches.

now thats the sad sad truth. i lost 54 bucks dela hoya lost his title, mayweather lost his cojones, floyd "joy" lost his loyalty and everybody who thought mayweather schooled dela hoya lost their minds.. thats it

I highly doubt the average man on the street scores a fight round by round correctly.
I don't watch Olympic diving on a regular basis.
I'd probably end up scoring the diver who was doing the crazier crowd appealing flips and rolls in the air higher than a diver who did things right.
I probably wouldn't catch the technical errors as well as a diving purist would.
Any unbiased FAN of boxing knows Floyd won the fight.

I dont think it was a controverial disision,it was very close and could have gone ether way.
Mayweather did very well and I now accept he is the p4p king of boxing as much as I dislike him on a personal leval.

But if an offical judge had it for ODLH then there is no reason that other people saw it that way as well. 8)

I am not the biggist floyd fan, to be honest i was wishing he would get beaten by de la hoya badly, he is too cocky, and not as nearly as good as people give him credit, but........
The facts are floyd did win the oscar de la hoya fight, he was picking him off with jabs and single punches all night while de la hoya was depending on ten second flurries which (if you watch the replays) were not scoring, however, i do think think the fight was still very close as de la hoya controled the agressiveness of it, and agressiveness is a factor which is taking into account when scoring fights, it is also true what de la hoya said after the fight, that the challanger has to defeat the champion convincely to win the belt, to be fair, pretty boy did not do that.

man in the street stuff means nothing. They don't know much about boxing. Do they look at punchstats? All they care about is a brawl and when they do not get that they go with the guy who punches. Yet Oscar missed.
