Well we may as well move on to Hatton vs Castillo now
8) As I no you are all mostly Hatton fans and should be thats your guy I have to say he is a strong fighter for his weight division. He can give fits to most anyone but hasnt met anyone like Castillo. The same as we were saying about Oscar vs Mayweather! Seems sometimes to not make a difference so I have to say its open to who wants it the most. It was smart for Hatton to have fought Collzo so he knows the difference that extra weight made he my fight much better noing that. Castillo is about natural at that weight but to me hasnt looked real good lately I think he will be way up and ready for this fight. so will just have to see. What do you all think?
Re: Well we may as well move on to Hatton vs Castillo now
Hatton will own Castillo for about 4 rounds, and then it's JLC for the rest of the fight.
Castillo's body shots are the key. and I'm not sure Hatton can maintain his old blistering
pace that made him so popular, haven't seen it lately.
Re: Well we may as well move on to Hatton vs Castillo now
8) I agree with Castillo having a top notch body attack. What bothers me is Hatton's pace he can carry the pace like no other. Can Castillo keep up with that?

Hatton didn't show that pace against Urango or Collazo in the later rounds though.
Re: Well we may as well move on to Hatton vs Castillo now
8) Right about that but dont forget he was not fighting at his weight he had gone up. Now Hatton will be fighting at his weight can be much different.

Urango was at 140, The body attack of Urango had obviously affected Hatton down the stretch. Castillo while he may not hit as hard as Urango will hit Hatton much more often.
The thing that I really look forward to is that these are the top two ranked 140 pounders. Both have been on the Ring's p4p list. It is a very good match-up. And this fight could take place in a 5' x 5' ring.

8) Yea the Collazo fight was at welter and thats what I am looking at now Ricky Hatton is back at his weight even though he is having trouble making weight it maybe getting hard for him now will have to see.
Re: Well we may as well move on to Hatton vs Castillo now
I think Hatton will win i feel Castillo has faded abit and i think this is why Hatton is fighting him but i want Castillo to win
Re: Well we may as well move on to Hatton vs Castillo now
8) I havent seen anything impressive from Castillo either maybe Hatton has got him at the right time!

Since I have money on Castillo, the thing that concerns me, is the fact that he has gotten lazy lately.
Castillo has been only showing up for the championship rounds. If Hatton presses the action early, it
could be an exciting fight. If Castillo wins the early rounds, I fear it will be very boring in the latter half.
Re: Well we may as well move on to Hatton vs Castillo now
8) Ricky Hatton always gets off in the early rounds and can carry the pace when he is trained to do just that and he can do that here this is his weight. Now if I see Castillo go to the body attack something he does so well early than he will win this fight unless he believes he has the hit to take Hatton early something he will do if thats his thinking. I no he will let Hatton get off early to test his power hit then he will go after Hatton.
Re: Well we may as well move on to Hatton vs Castillo now
Good thread and I can't wait for this fight either, but before we can move on to Hatton vs. Castillo (which vary well could be fight of the year) I think allot of us are looking forward to see Pavlik vs. Miranda, well I know I am and this is another fight that could be fight of the year. I'm really looking forward to both of these can't wait.

Yep and there are other good fights coming up before this one right?
Hatton wins this for me although I'd like JLC to win,he's getting on,Hatton is younger, faster, fresher, and it's his natural weight class.Castillo will have to keep digging to the body but surely the wars will catch up the monster at some point?! His fight with Corrales was like 10 in 1!
Re: Well we may as well move on to Hatton vs Castillo now
Hatton ballooned up to 182lbs between fights, but between Urango and Castillo, the heaviest he got was 168, 12 stone. He was on UK television one week before he resumed training for June at this weight, so unless he piled on alot in that week, I think he is going to be in perfect physical condition this time. Against Urango he looked abit gaunt, but I feel he will be ready to go twelve rounds. Unless Castillo has improved since his last fight, this is Hatton's all the way, because he will definitely be better.
