Funny you should mention this Andre because I posted somethig similar a while back. Had an out of the blue phone call from an Uncle who was sure he could make me some money. To cut a long story short he wouldnt give me any kind of details over the phone so I knocked him back. Turns out it was energy drinks he was trying to flog.
He hasnt mad a million.

I used to get the shits on with them .
But now I use them for entertainment.
Those indians are the best, my mum asks if she can speak to Ranjeet whenever they ring out of the blue. That stumps them ibto silence :)

My favorite phone call came from a recorded telemarketing company. I answered and the recording said, "This is a telemarketing call, if you're busy, just hang up." I'll give you three guesses what I did (the first two don't count).

Yes this is my point really,
You can have alot of fun for free on these cranks if your prepared for them.
A mate of mine did the Maxwell Smart trick of listening to everything they had to tell him in silence and then went ... "HAAAAAGH"!? YAH WHAT ? HAAAAGH!?"
The idiot repeated the whole speel louder, but Glen just kept interupting with that loud nasal sounding HuuuH?

I actually enjoy telemarketers. Especially loan officers. Here's a good trick we use all the time..
When one calls about refinancing we tell them "I am really glad you called, we have a bunch of equity and need to refinance. You know what I gotta go grab my loan info in the other room, can you hold on for a minute?"
Then we put it on speaker and wait to see how long they stay on. I seriously had a guy wait for an hour once. It's a great time, cause you can practically hear them drooling and they will wait forever.... I have never had anyone wait less than 10 minutes.

Did you guys get to hear that one where someone made it out like a telemarketer had rung a crime scene ,he was asked where he was that night ,was he the victums gay lover etc etc ,the guy was just about bawling by the time he was being told that his local police were going to be looking into him carefully.

CC Love this one! There is an "epidemic" of telemarketers in OZ at the moment. Mainly indian people selling phone contracts or energy companies or something like that... Hopefully they ask me for some details and I can take an hour or 2 looking for it....
Man they drive me nuts otherwise! Sometimes I have fun with them. Like when they say "our company has selected you for a free holiday with no obligations". Yesterday I had one say almost straight away, "is this mr blah blah" so I go, yeah, and he's like "because you're such a loyal customer of us we are sending you a free phone so it'll arrive in a a few days, make sure you don't pay the delivery guy for it".. yeah like companies just suddenly decide to send random people free phones... Plus i'd never even heard of the company, let alone been a loyal customer... The stupid part is when you say "i'm not intersted" and they're like "you don't want a free phone?" of course I want a f'n free phone you f'n moron but the one you're offering me certainly aint free!
But i'm with some of you guys now, it might make me less mad at getting these stupid calls if I have fun with them...
Also asking for there cousin Rajeev or whatever is a great one too..
