Oh yes, noodling exists and it's pretty fucking crazy!!!!

I'm sure people will call me a hick or hillbilly or what have you due to this topic (I have never been "grabbin") but I just think it's insane!

OK what Noodling or Grabbin is by it's most basic definition is catching catfish using your hand as bait. You find a catfish bed where it's eggs are or just where it is hangin out and you just shove your hand in there and the fish bites down on it and bingo you've caught one.

So how crazy was the first person who invented this shit???

....also we're obviously not talking small catfish here we're talking up to around 60 pounds!!!!

So do catfish not have teeth or something? Or do people down south not much care for fingers?

hahaha...I figured I would catch shit for this but it's funny as hell....I'd of course never do it....but I might tag along in a boat (with a cooler of beer) just to watch that.


Catfish like most freshwater fish have very tiny teeth which at WORST can break the skin....however I do believe they are doing this in Gator and even worse than that SNAPPING TURTLE country.

A gator bite would be pretty damn bad even if he doesn't roll on you.....with a snapping turtle you'd just pull a stub back

So there are a number of things that you can run across doing this.....that aren't so pleasant.
