Potential Roomy

Tell me whether or not I'm being overly sceptical.

My flatmate and I have put a room up to rent and interviewed people for it.

Choose a guy who seemed pretty reliable - in late 30s, stable job etc etc.

He was meant to come pay his bond money this week and rent in advance to move in tomorrow.

He didn't. My flatmate and I had to pay his share of the rent to the landlord today.

I've left messages on his phone and emailed him etc but no reply.

I've got a horrible feeling he's going to turn up with his stuff tomorrow and expect to move in.

Would you let him if he's got the dough or turn him away and assume he's always going to be unreliable with his share of the bills?

My flatmate and I are both small, non-scary looking females and wouldn't really want to have to pressure an older male into fronting up with his share of the bills all the time.

Fuk em. Sounds like a sheister. Plus if you can't get ahold of him, thats BS too, what happens if next time if you can't get ahold of him again?

I can sort of see what you mean though - still if he was too much trouble I do have older bros who can be pretty scary. Guys from my boxing club have offered back up in case I ever need it too.

Who wants to have to do that though!

You stand at the door of his room as he arrives with his bags (If he does)..Grab him by the testicles and tell him he owes you money, And you keep hold of those testicles until the money is in your none busy hand..

If he dont have it..Then you walk him to the bank like a dog on a leash by his scrote ;)

I called him and told him not to bother showing up. We found a new flatmate tonight.
