Taylor narrowly averted draw!
As oddmakers predicted, WBC/WBO middleweight champion Jermain Taylor defeated IBF 154lb titlist Cory Spinks, however the end result was almost different. Judge Dick Flaherty appreciated Spinks' hit-and-run style enough to credit Taylor with only three rounds, while judge Gale Van Hoye was repulsed by Spinks' tactics to the extent that he gave Spinks only three rounds. Judge Michael Pernick nearly split down the middle and had he given Spinks the twelfth round instead of Taylor, the bout would have ended in a draw.

Oh! :coolclick: ICB (in 24h)
I was extremely curious to see the round by round judges' scoring of this fight.
Big thanks for the link.

Taylor narrowly averted draw!
*tut* Again!? ::**
Re: Taylor narrowly averted draw!
Its an absolute robbery, How did anyone give Taylor the last round. I think Taylor has lost four out of his last 5 fights now, somehow he keeps winning these ridiculous decisions, somethings up, it's like Bush winning Florida again, only 4 times worse!
