Attention Fighters: Actions speak louder than words!!!
Im sick of fighters claiming they are great and deserve big money even tho they have fought nobody, and duck the guys that would actually give them credibility. Im sick of boxers claiming they are being ducked, but at the same time being inactive.
A case in point is Antonio Margarito.Great athlete, great boxer, but hasnt achieved enough to be calling out the number one guy in the sport yet. All he can do in the meantime is stay active yet he seems to fight about 1.5 times a year. Why not fight everyone, the best available and in time guys cant dodge u. Fight 5 times a year.
Joe Calzaghe is another. Wants the big money, and gets a bit cos british fight fans would watch him fight me, but who is he to call out Taylor and Hopkins when he hasnt fought a top guy since eubank? He should have been fighting the top guys available for the last ten years.
Vic Darchinyan is similiar also, he talks up a big fight but fights bums.
just think some guys should shut up and let impressive wins do the talking...

I'm annoyed at JC for not fighting top guys like he said he would, but you can't say he's fought bums since Eubank. Despite the fact Calzaghe destroyed him, Jeff Lacy was seen as the future of the sport before Joe ruined him. Joe is a great fighter, it's just his reluctance to prove it that pisses people off. You can't say he hasn't earned those fights you speak of though, the only way to become a name is to beat a name, and Joe has been champion for long enough and ruled his division for long enough to fight for another big pay day. I just wish that rather than talking about making a super fight, he'd actually fucking make it. I'd like to see him fight Roy Jones. I know people say he's shot, but it'd be a great fight.

I agree with you on the Joe C comment....Not that many are lining up for Margarito....and Vic "The Angry Jockey" Darchinyan is the man regardless....
Re: Attention Fighters: Actions speak louder than words!!!
This is one area were NFL football has it worse than pro boxing. Fighters seek a big payday or three but it pales in comparison to what happens when a football player thinks he deserves more than he is getting. They are greedy, greedy, bastards.
Re: Attention Fighters: Actions speak louder than words!!!
Somebody should tell Calzaghe because he talks about fighting the best and has done for years but never has really lets see some action Joe
Re: Attention Fighters: Actions speak louder than words!!!
Vic Darchinyan will fight anyone. He needs to get more backing to attract the $ for the higher profile guys and believes they are avoiding him because they are concerned that he will trouble them. In an article (if I may please - i don't work for them) written by Paul Upham in the May Issue of Aus Mag "The Fist" Vic states "I am going to destroy them, both Marquez and Vazquez. Vazquez was knocked down by Marquez. If you can be knocked down, I can knock you out. I want an opponent who thinks he can beat me. I love the challenge."
I realise that you may feel this supports your argument but i don't see here that Vic is saying much more than he wants the opportunity to face these guys and is confident about his prospects. Unfortunately I didn't get to go but my brother got the opportunity to speak to Vic about this recently and he really believes these guys, and Arce are avoiding him. He is not all idle talk purely aimed at self promotion, he is a proven fighter with great skill making statements to try to produce a fight with the best. He wants to fight the best, he is not dodging anyone and is using "talk" to try to realise this.
