Utter madness - can't believe this, whats the world coming to !

Out on the piss tomorrow to watch the Euro cup final in Leeds city centre so rather than taxi home and have to get up early Thursday decided to book myself into a city centre Travel Lodge.

So been trying to book online for two days - put my credit card details in the website and, selected room and date which was fine but everytime I got to to confirm screen I get the old 'Page cannot be displayed' and the thing just crashes and can't go back etc...

So sod it I thought I'll walk up at lunchtime to the actual hotel and book there. So I just walked up there and told them couldn't book online so could book for tomorrow night

And I get the response : "sorry sir we can't do advance bookings here, you can only do that online or via phone through our national central reservations"

Am thinking WTF ?!?!?!?

So I say "hang on, I'm stood here in your hotel. THE ACTUAL HOTEL I WANT TO STAY IN TOMORROW NIGHT and you're telling me you can't book me in ?!?"

She replies "That's right sir though I can tell you there are still a few rooms available for tomorrow at the moment"

For fuck's sake !!! I have another go get same response so I walk out in disbelief....

So I come back to work and just tried online again - it still don't fucking work ! Will ring central reservations later if no joy and wait in queue for half hour nop doubt - or however long it takes.

Now I know I'm getting old here nut what the fuck is the world coming to when you can't book in at a hotel fucking reception !!!!!

Why didn't you just ask the receptionist to go on-line while you were standing there and book you in.

If they say they can't do that, that is a lie and she is just a lazy bitch. All hotels have internat access behind reception, especially to their own intranet or web pages.

Alternatively, you could have punched the slut in the face, doused her in lighter fluid and then set fire to her ...... all the time insisting that she could not ask for help or call the police from here, but would have to go online and contact them.

But i could use the one in the foyer which was a pound for twenty minutes !

My youngest has a birthday coming up and he wanted a swing for the garden so I went to the local Tesco home and bought one. My Mum works for Tesco so che came along so I could get her discount ,she ended up paying on her card and I gave her the cash. When collection day came I went in store and was told that my particular swing had been lost in transit. I said "Cant I just take one from the shop floor?" "No" she replied "We dont carry that item in stock". "Yes you do" I said, "There are loads of them downstairs" "Well I wouldnt know about those, they dont show up on my system" (all the way down fucking stairs)

I took my case downstairs where they had them and where I would hopefully find an active brain. Baring in mind I'd already paid at a promotional price I wanted to pay no more so I asked them what the price was. Not only was it different to the price I had paid, but it was also different to the pre promotion price. When I asked why this was they said that the swing had come down in pricxe as it was the end of the line, but the very next day the same swing came in store as a new line at an increased price ;D

As it was bought on my Mums card there wasnt a lot I could do about it right there and then so my Mum had to go over and sort it. What with women being far better than men at complaining she got it for the original promotional price, Im pretty convinced she threatened them with the lighter fluid.

He also wants a trampoline. Im going to Woolworths for that.
