Boxing / Sparring in USA would improve any fighter from England ?
I really think that a good example of a good pro , Dennis Andries improved so so much by being based at Kronk gym.
Hard sparring , Great coaching , all these factors make a better fighter , im from UK and think this is the case.
Please especially guys and gals from USA give us your opinions .

Actually i think an american fighter spending sometime in europe would be more beneficial because the stress the technical and defensive side of boxing more.

Maybe a good mixture of both would be good.
I'm just thinking about carl Johaneson who was based in USA for a lot his fights. He sparred with Acelino Freitas and built up a lot of good experience. Then came back to Britain and is cleaning up domestically with ease. I suppose it depends what style of fighter you are. Carl's aggressive so that move was a good one.

I think the fighters from the UK would benefit more if they came here to the USA. We would give them toothbrushes and toothpaste as soon as they got off the air plane.
;D

America is a much bigger place, has many more top gyms with top fighters, stands to reason that a visiting fighter would gain a lot.

And it's for that very reason I will say....
"It depends on the fighter"
Some guys can stay away from home, some can't , some need technical help, some don't, some do well with sparring, and some don't.
I think the better trainers are in the US though: Steward, Roach, Brooks, Goosen, Rooney, Atlas, Torrance, The Mayweather(s), McGirt, Birmingham

I don't know about comparing one country to another - so I'm not going to try but overall I agree with Lyle.
I think training a long way from home or in another gym can be beneficial. Teaches you some things you won't learn at home and gives you a different perspective rather than just taking one coaching philosophy as pure gospel.
It can also be confusing and depending on where you're from and where you go the culture shock might factor in as a plus or a minus depending on the individual. I'm an Australian, spent a year training in Japan and found it both good and bad.
