Middleweight champion Jermain Taylor remains on the top of middleweight contender Giovanni Lorenzo’s wish list, but there is another fighter that he would like to challenge: Kelly Pavlik. “I was very impressed by Pavlik’s win over Miranda,” said Lorenzo. “Miranda talked a lot before the fight, but he didn’t deliver. He cared more about Taylor than the guy he had in front of him and Pavlik beat him at his own game. I think me and Pavlik would be bombs away from the opening bell!” Lorenzo returns to the ring on June 2nd in support of the Shannon Briggs vs. Sultan Ibragimov heavyweight championship contest as part of the non-televised undercard. The undefeated Dominican brawler will battle Bruce Rumbolz (21-12-2, 15 KOs) in an 8/10 round middleweight bout.
