The opponent will be Noe Tulio Gonzalez Alcoba. Good guess!Quote:

Having never really heard of him - or any of his previous opponents - let alone seen him fight, obviously Gonzalez could still surprise. Just doesnt seem likely though.
Btw - according to fightnews the WBA has only approved this match with the condition that the winner (or Sturm if a draw) will fight mandatory Randy Griffin before August 28th. No excuses - not even injuries - for failing to comply with this, will be accepted. I kind of like this approach actually - you can fight a voluntary defence, if you like, but then there will be no bullsh*t, if you fail to show up for your mandatory.
3 likely world title fights in 4 months does sound like a pretty tough schedule for Sturm though - kudos if he pulls it off!
Pretty tough requirements...Quote:

Hope Sturm gets big fight soon liked the way he revenged his loss and he was very unlucky not to get Oscar decision which is a shame because that could of got him bigger fights quicker.
He could have fought JT instead of Masoe, but he turned it down...Quote:

Sturm fights on a crazy schedule. He fought 5 times a year in both 2002 & 2003 & what is astounding is that he fought 9 or 10 times in 2001.
Sorry...but I love the guy. Always will.
