Did anyone see Duddy's farewell bout?(I didnt know he has one!)

In front of a packed house of approximately 2300 fans, Ireland’s John Duddy started quickly and made it look like it was going to be a short night. Duddy’s fans packed the Beacon Theater to pay homage to their guy as this was Duddy’s last fight in New York before a trip to Ireland for a couple of fights back in his native country. Duddy, who has made a new home in Queens, New York insists he will return, hopefully to bigger and better fights.
Duddy, 20-0 (15), came out blazing in the first round, and before long his opponent Dupree Strickland, 18-2-1 (7), appeared to be hurt badly and on the deck. To Strickland’s credit, the 37-year old crafty southpaw was able to survive the round (barely), and then against all odds, survive the fight. Strickland, who turned pro late, and has fought predominantly in the south, fought his toughest opponent to date in this fight in Duddy, and it was his first time he went 10 rounds.
Unfortunately for Duddy and his fans, once Strickland tasted Duddy’s power in round number 1, it appeared that he was content to survive and make it until the final bell at the end of round number 10. This was Duddy’s third fight where he was forced to go 10 rounds or more.

BBC show'd it last Sunday night, I didn't get to see it but doesn't sound like Strickland was ever gonna test him. Good thing is his next few fights are gonna be in Ireland, can't wait to see him!
We might get a few good cards over here: Dunne, Duddy, Lee, and McCullough!

While he's got a pretty big fan base in NY,you can easily see it being a REAL big ticket item in Ireland
