Roy Shaw and Lenny McClean

Can some of the gentleman on the Forum please explain the fascination with these 2 men in the Media .

I read both books and i found them pretty crap if truth be told !
Roy Shaw glorified stabbing people , robbing people and throwing one bloke out of a 1st floor window ! His fights were against people who were hardly trained athletes at the peak of their powers and alot were not on the level!

He came across as the kinda guy who sits in the pub all night with a table all to himself growling at anyone who comes within 2 foot of him !

Lenny McLean seemed to overlook the fact he got sparked on numerous occasions in the ring by much smaller guys ! I couldn't for one minute take anything that was written as anything approaching fact , he was from what I've heard a real nasty bit of work and a bully , this is from people who actually knew him

I know some artistic license was taken but it how much of what he said was outright fabrication ?

There's a massive subculture around these men and men of that ilk it disturbs me that Bully's ,Thieves and Gangsters who never really have to challenge themselves and just take from society can be so reverered
