To all my mates on this site. I just finished reading this book on Paul Briggs, the light-heavy contender. It is an awesome story. I guarantee if you get a copy you will rate it as one of the best boxing stories ever. What he had to endure and overcome is inspirational.

Seriously though he must have a lot of guts to write about his horrific past. If you like overcoming adversity stories then I'm sure Johnny Tapia and Kasim Ouma's biographies (if available ???) would be inspirational reading too.
I'd love to read more about Ouma especially but not sure if anything is out there or not?
I didn't say it was a fun read. But it is a great story of how Briggs turned a crappy life around.
