Buffalos roll deep you can't overcome shear numbers in the wild. Also it didn't look like there were any male lions there it just looked like four lionesses that weren't even fully gorwn.

i never seen buffalo protect there young like that in the few docos ive seen, so i just assumed they were dumb aminmals cause they always outnumber the lions 100-1 and dont usually devend themselfs like that. but hey ive only seen a few docos and the animals probably act different knowing these strange aliens with cam-cordes are there filming them.
but good for the buffalo, i dont think there as stupid as i first thought
