Krasniqi: Ibragimov not great!

Heavyweight contenders Luan Krasniqi (30-2-1, 14 KOs) and Tony "The Tiger" Thompson (29-1, 17 KOs) are set to meet in a WBO title eliminator on the July 14 "Universum Champions Night" at the Color Line Arena. The winner will earn a shot at newly crowned world heavyweight champion Sultan Ibragimov. Krasniqi saw Ibragimov's win over Shannon Briggs on TV Sunday night. "If one could say anything about this heavyweight fight, it's that on this evening two average boxers stood in the ring," commented the 35-year-old Krasniqi. "It was not a fight for the public - little motion and barely any high quality boxing action - a below average world championship fight without a great new champion. My next opponent Tony Thompson is stronger than both these fighters and in addition, an awkward boxer, a workhorse, and a rare southpaw. However, I've looked quite good against such types and I'll defeat him. I have to beat Thompson and then I know that Ibragimov must face me in a world title fight."

LOL...
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...
Though I got to admit his fight against Brewster was exciting...
Re: Krasniqi: Ibragimov not great!
he got his ass kicked by brewster, he has no right to talk
also liyahovich is calling sultan out
Re: Krasniqi: Ibragimov not great!
Well...Lyakhovich hasn't then also no right to talk for getting his ass kicked(in one of the most boring
HW fights)by Briggs...and why would he already again get a titleshot...
After the Briggs disaster Lyakhovich should first fight himself up in the rankings, before getting
another title chance...
Re: Krasniqi: Ibragimov not great!
I've now seen the Briggs-Ibragimov fight. Briggs was poor, I was surprised to see it. But, if he'd weighed in lighter, I think he may have worked better. I don't like Ibrag's chances against a puncher. Anytime he got hit in the head he stumbled about. He can't take a punch. He's lucky Briggs was so damn slow. I hope he's still champ when either Skelton or Sprott get a shot because in my opinion, we'd see a British World Champion...as terrible as that sounds for the heayweight division.

I thought the two or three hard shot that Ibragimov has taken from Briggs didn't hurt him...
Actually he walked right through them...
