we talking the tennis shoes fellas! that came to rise in stock and popularity in the late 80's ;D
as we all know both of these shoe companies no longer exist..........gee i wonder why lol
i aint even gonna front i used to rock both.......... hey it was the 80's man lol. but i realize damn they both was wizzzzzzack!
i rocked the catapults from LA Gear if u all remember they was supposed to help you jump hire and give you the ability to slam dunk lol!
i also remember rockin like all black BK's they called it lol!
in chicago there was a gang(if u even wanna legitamately call them a gang) called the AFRO KINGS! O0
all the AFRO KINGS wore all black from head to toe and they all wore BRITTISH KNIGHTS and even black burets! so u know who they were cuz it was like 20heads all wearing black from head to toe and wearing BK's and Burets at the mall lol!
one of the guys high up in the AFRO KINGS tried to recruit me at this party i was at and i was like ummmmmm ill let u know bro(didnt want to hurt his feelings lol).
I wore BKs, but never LA Gear. As a matter of fact, about three years ago, I saw some British Knights at K-Mart. I didn't think they were still around, but they were there.
How about Lottos? Had the ones with the map of NYC.
God I hated those stupid LA Gears shoes with the flashing lights on them ;D
If I remember rightly the look people went for was LA Gear or BK trainers (some went with Patrick Ewing) and a (football) managers coat, being Bristol it was usually Manchester UTD or Liverpool.
Memphis used to wear Doc Martins then ;D

I wear Lavender/indigo laces with a big daisy attatched to the tongue .
Some Skins really pulled of a cool look and then it got dilutted by Lesbians.

i used to wear light up LA GEARs when i was little. Never EVER again :(
HaHa thats funny I totally forgot about those shoes. I use to rock the black BK's, and I remember I thought I was cool as hell with those things on. Classic lol.
