Diaz: "Erik Morales Better Take Me Seriously"
Morales is not that familiar with the champion. He told the Chicago-Sun Times that he only knows Diaz from his title winning effort over Jose Armando Santa Cruz. That fight was actually for the interim title. Diaz was given full championship status when Joel Casamayor refused to face him while trying to land a rematch with Acelino Freitas. Morales wants more than anything to achieve history by winning a fourth title.
How do you think Morales will fare here? I have yet to see Diaz in action, what is his style like?
Re: Diaz: "Erik Morales Better Take Me Seriously"
I don't know, but I'll be cheering for Erik.
I hope EM wins convincingly.
Re: Diaz: "Erik Morales Better Take Me Seriously"
Erik is going to beat this guys brains out. Diaz was knocked out in one shot bu Juan Valenzuela while trying to act like Floyd :) He did stay in there long with Castillo though. 40 percent of Erik Morales is greater then 100 percent of Julio Diaz any day, he's just annoying to watch, thats the best way I can say it. He is a good fighter but he is anoying to watch just like OScar Diaz.

Aaaaah,I've seen the JLC fight,JLC beat him up quite bad towards the end. I get confused with all these Diaz!

Trying to be Floyd against the ropes, "Dont try this at home" :)
Re: Diaz: "Erik Morales Better Take Me Seriously"
You say Julio Diaz is annoying to watch...but you will watch Zahir Raheem? ;D
Diaz isn't that good of a fighter, but Erik's main problem is stamina and his flat footedness and Diaz never goes away. Not going to bother picking this fight, would be no surprise at all if Diaz wins. Especially in the later rounds.
If Morales wins...then he beat a paper champion. It's comparable to Jones - Amaju except Diaz is a little better and won't front run.
Re: Diaz: "Erik Morales Better Take Me Seriously"
CC in 24 for that bro. Wow! He got KTFO!!!!! Wow! What the hell went wrong though,he didn't get the angle right did he?
I think it also depends on how shot Morales is. I rally don't see the need for Erik to take this fight.

I watch Zahir Raheem and John Ruiz before ;D
But it has nothing to do with his style that annoys me. He just aggrivates me for some reason and rubs me the wrong way. The same reason Oscar Diaz aggrivates me and Lennox Lewis aggrivated me to no end. There are just some fighters you are destined not to like. Know what I mean?

The thing was he was looking at the right hand and the left hook came and that was it. It can really magnify a punch when you never see it coming where even the greatest chin can be hurt by a shot never seen.
Now I'm gonna sit back and wait for someone to mention Judah baldomir ;D
However I do give Diaz props for lasting with Castillo, but this shot was just... :o
And what aggrivates me as well is he STILL fought like that afterwards lol. But Courtney Burton couldn't do a thing about it but Juan Valenzuela can. Styles make fights
