Well few days ago it seemed to be going somewhere but now earlier i have read Calzaghe vs Kessler is off and is now considering Mundine jeez i hope not has anyone got any new news on this because this is really annoying one minute it seems to be going somewhere then next mintue there considering a new fight its so frustrating.
Personally...I aint that fond of the thoughts of Calzaghe vs Mundine...but Mundine is the #3 man...so it is what it is.Quote:

These Calzaghe Kessler dealings have turned into a gotdam farce. If Kess's promoter was so eager to set the fight...he do what it took...even negotiate the deal from his sick bed if he was so intent on not holding his fighter back.
I said a long time ago that I didn't think the fight would ever materialize...then Calzaghe agrees to their terms on their grounds...I get set for the fight...& I'll be gotdam if it don't sink like a turd loaded with peanuts in the crapper.
Agreed Mundine holds his left too low and Calzaghe is better than Mundine in every department it would be pretty clear cut decision for Calzaghe but thats not the fight i would want to see.Quote:

Then it's onto the real main event and Kessler.
If Calzaghe v kessler doesn't happen next IMO it wont ever happen...
Calzaghe WILL meet the winner of hopkins and wright some time early next year jan/feb.. hence why he doesnt want to fuck about and wait untill november for kessler to only pull out scared then...
After that fight he will either move ot or already be at LHW and be looking for one or 2 fights there to go out on...
If kessler wont fight him now, then IMO someone from his team is scared and are trying to blag this shit along to the point where they get joe when he is 37 or 38!
There is NO reason for kessler not being able to fight in september IN HIS BACKYARD!
Its simple I don´t think that kesslers camp had secured the money for the fight. They only gave Calzaghe that offer to get a higher pay day.
After this Team Palle will look completely like amateurs. I hope at least my boy Kessler has the guts to face Calzaghe in UK then if they can´t get their sh:t together fast.
Anyway and taking Mundine away from Kessler is brilliant if they fight for mundines title WBA Calzaghe is next in line to face Kessler, since Kessler is the Super champ and then the highest purseoffer will decide where its going to be.
I like the plan if that is what this is.

Calzaghe and his promoter Frank Warren had initially wanted to the fight to take place in September, but the undefeated 35-year-old Welshman said he would accept a November showdown, which Palle is keener on.
The veteran Danish promoter was taken to hospital suffering from a heart complaint last week, around the same time that Warren indicated that Calzaghe would be prepared to cede home advantage.
"We sent a fax last week saying we would go to Denmark but haven't heard a word since," said Warren.
"I just hope that Kessler and his promoter are as keen on this fight as they have been saying now that their bluff has been called."
Its looks like the date is not an issue..... COME on I have some money to spare for a ticket :)...

Mundine's manager responds to Frank Warren
Anthony Mundine’s manager Khoder Nasser (pictured together) has demanded a formal offer from Joe Calzaghe’s promoter Frank Warren for a unification bout between the super-middleweight title-holders.
He also rejected claims that the WBA champion was avoiding the Welshman, saying it was the other way around.
Warren this week claimed Mundine had ignored a $US2 million offer to fight Calzaghe and that the Welshman was willing to fight him in Australia.
``I’ve never spoken to Frank Warren,’’ Nasser told Sydney radio station 2SM.
``I’ve spoken to his matchmaker and I said we’d like to fight Joe.
``We never heard back from then.
``These claims are very Frank Warrenish
``I’ve also spoken to Mogens Palle, who promotes Mikkel Kessler and they’ve been trying to get a deal from Frank Warren for six months
``Frank is very careful about who Joe fights.
``If there’s a real offer and good money we’d be happy to fight Calzaghe.
``Anthony has never ducked anyone. After 10 fights he fought Sven Ottke so that tells you he’s prepared to fight anyone.’’
In an interview on 2KY, Calzaghe's promoter, Frank Warren, said he tabled a $US2 million bid six months ago for Mundine to fight the long-reigning WBO title holder - but had never received a reply.
But Nasser said Warren had the details the wrong way around.
"We've been calling Frank Warren for the past six months trying to get Joe Calzaghe; we have never, ever, received a reply about an offer or a counter offer," Nasser said from the Gold Coast, where Mundine is preparing for his June 27 title defence against Argentina's Pablo Daniel Zamora Nievas.
"He said he offered us $2m, but to start the negotiating process Frank has got to understand that saying ain't doing.
"If you want to negotiate to fight Anthony Mundine, do you talk to 2KY or do you talk to Khoder Nasser? Why wouldn't you send something through the fax machine with your signature on it?"
Denmark's Mikkel Kessler, who beat Mundine in 2005, has been seeking a fight with Calzaghe since last September, but just two weeks ago the WBA super champion and WBC titleholder's manager, Mogens Palle, accused Warren of shielding Calzaghe from the bout.
Warren now says Calzaghe wants to accept the offer and would be willing to travel outside Britain for only the third time in his 43-fight career.
"Frank Warren is an astute businessman and he wants to keep his boy on top," Nasser said. "He doesn't want to put him in dangerous fights against Anthony Mundine or Mikkel Kessler or Bernard Hopkins or Roy Jones jnr, because they've all tried to get Calzaghe.
"If you look at Choc's history, he's never once evaded a serious fight; he had only 10 professional fights when he fought Ottke, a guy that had more title defences than he'd had fights, and he didn't shy away from Kessler for one second.
"You've got to ask yourself, who has Joe fought over the past four years?"
So I think´ I am leaning towards the fight is never going to happen :'(
I've never heard so much crap from two promoters trying to make a fight its ridiculous its getting beyond a joke now.
