Corrales toxicology results
Toxicology tests have showed that former world champion Diego Corrales was drunk when he was killed in a motorcycle accident last month. According to an AP report, Corrales has a blood achohol content of .25 -- more than three times the .08 legal limit in Nevada. At the time of the accident, Corrales' driver's license had been revoked for a previous drunk driving conviction.
What a tragic waste :'(

It is, sad to say, a very common theme.
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident
.....that's how most motorcycle accidents happen
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident
"It's quite possible that had he not been impaired, he could have prevented his accident," Las Vegas police Sgt. Tracy McDonald said Tuesday after toxicology tests showed Corrales' blood-alcohol content was 0.25 percent. The legal limit for drivers in Nevada is 0.08 percent.
"Bottom line, no one else did anything wrong," McDonald said of an investigation that found speed was a factor and no drugs were in Corrales' system when he died May 7 at age 29. "He basically killed himself." >:mad
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident
oh man :(
shame to here that
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident
We all know that Corrales has ALWAYS lived recklessly & that quite often he pushed the envelope...this time it caught up to him.
Crying shame.
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident
More bad news. Its been a horrible couple of days in terms of boxing news really :(
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident
Its no surprise but I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest.
If it was some Joe Average that had issues with drink and violence towards women we would probably be saying good riddance.
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident
I hate when the media feels they have to give us all this info.....we lost a great boxer and a lot of people lost a good friend....bottom line.
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident
u no wat to be honest, i dont feel bad for him at all, u have to be stupid to get drunk and hit hunderred miles an hour in a 30 zone, his falt, now i love corrales but if if did that wouldnt u all me stupid?
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident

Maybe ill get flamed for this but what the hell,
the first thing i thought when i read this is : what a selfish idiot
Live fast and die young fair enough sometimes ,
BUT not when you have 7 month pregnant wife, sorry but I dont feel sorry for him you can't go living that way when you have others depending on you.
Re: Coralles drunk when killed in accident
This is why I don't drink, alcohol makes a fool of even the most respected mens out there. Sure the party and drinking is fun and all, but step up and be a man. Be wise enough to know whats better for you. If you can't handle what your drinking don't drink at all because you'll be a totally different person toxicated.

Agreed 100%. I'm expecting some sad clicks for this, but hearing that he was drunk changes my view on it completely. I mean the guy had a history of drunk driving, and now he is out PISS LOADED driving a F****** sports motorcycle when he has a pregnant wife and young daughter at home. How stupid can you be? Someone else's family could EASILY be mourning a dead family member because of Corrales' stupidity. You act stupid, you pay the price. Its a damn shame, but what the F*** can you do? There are just some people who seem intent on hurting themselves.
