Sept 29- Maskaev v Peter on Showtime---Pavlic v Taylor on HBO

Why do they have to do this? Boxing having to compete against its self is bad for boxing.

Yes, it's stupid.
Showtime should move Peter-Maskaev back a week, and air it on the first Saturday of October, on their normal schedule.

If both fights air on 9/29, I'll be watching Taylor-Pavlik.

Has the JT-Pavlik fight been 'officially' signed?

I hate that. I know it would mean taking a hit in gate money but why can't these be on the same card? That would be awesome.

I'll be watching Tayor/ Pavlik if the fights are on at the same time, this is the sort of thing that affects boxings standings in the main stream. They should have made the fights a week apart.
I think it'll be KO's for both Peter & Pavlik

I would definitely watch the Taylor-Pavlik fight befor watching the Maskaev-Peters but like CutMeMick said is this official??

I hear two of the judges scorecards for the Taylor Pavlik fight have already been written up.

If it goes to decision there scores are 116-112, 115-113 for Taylor

The third judge is going to score honestly to avoid cries of match fix. His likely score will read 120 - 109 Pavlik

I thought Taylor was going to defend asgainst Jorge Arce next :D....Since the 154 pounders seem to be giving him more trouble then expected

In all honesty, I'm suprised Taylor didn't accept Vic Darchinyen's offer to fight him!

This is what DVR is made for, watch Taylor v Pavlik live, then watch the Maskaev fight right after. I actually don't mind this at all, makes for a great night of boxing, IMO

Its not like every weekend is stock full of great fights. They should have layered these title fights.

Peter gets his shot at Maskaev and about time too. It could be brutal.

You ain't kidding on that one!!!! :o :o....If Peter comes in that fight full of pent up aggression due to being ducked it could be brutal for Maskaev :'(

If these fights are competing the Taylor fight will win out. Maskaev vs. Peter is not that intriguing. I would love to see Peter fight Tua. But Tua seems to only fight stiffs and then lose his big fights. The only time he wins against a top fighter is when that top fighter has a weak chin like Moorer.
