Fantastic 4 Rise of the silver surfer

Went to see this with my boys last night. It was a good laugh, unsurprisingly the surfer stole the show. Im assuming there will be more of them, Im not familiar with the cartoon series but I hope Victor doesnt return although with the way he went out of this one I wouldnt be surprised, I just dont want to see him anymore.

The cinema was pretty empty, there were a group of lads a few seats away from us and one of them threw a nacho at someone in front by mistake, tought it was a friend. Anyway these two have a bit of handbags, the film was over so it was a little extra entertainment, then one of them comes out with a classic "Bruv you dont know who I am" I immediately thought your a early 20's man who is watching a childrens film with a gang of 20 something male friends but I couldnt project that thought into the other party. Needless to say it all fizzled out, which was a shame ;D

I was gonna go watch it last night but only to stare at ALba for 90 minutes but instead fell asleep at 8 and woke up at 8 this morning .

there's nothing worse than having to listen to a group of Chavs communicate through grunts during the opening credits !
Couple that with the russeling of Sweetie bags and Swashbuckling Gee feels another ' Pet Hates ' topic coming on !

I also hate it when people laugh at things that just are not funny like somebody walking into a door .

The amount of mobile phone screens coming on and off during the film was winding me up. Ok so someone close to you could die during the 90 minutes the film is on, but at the end of the day they're still going to be dead at the end so may as well enjoy the film.

Never thought of it like that !

Besides they could let you enjoy the film .

I went to see Oceans 13 last night with the missus. FF doesn't open here til Thursday, but I'm going to Sydney to catch up with a mate of mine on Thursday so will have to wait for it. I liked the first one, and I'm a big Silver Surfer fan so I think this could be good.

Didn't think much of Oceans 13 - haven't really liked any since the first one.

Didn't really like Spidey 3 either, so it seems like I'm having a shit run at the flicks...

I know that the Surfer is going to have his own film. That is all I know as of now.

Without wanting to spoil anything they dump Victor into the ocean and thats it. Im sure he will be back but I hate it when they dwell on characters, just kill him already.

The Silver surfer was cooler than an ice sculpture of Arthur Fonzarelli, but it didnt take much to render him useless, thats the only negative about him.

It bothers me that you keep calling him Victor lol Please, refer to him as

His names Victor ;D I forgot what Silver Surfers real name is, I'd call him by it if I did.

Im not sure how close the film is to the comic books but I never really saw him as a bad guy. Just the guy that had a swanky piece of kit that brought death with it ;D

THE NUMBER 1 QUESTION WE ALL NEED TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO:

IS GALCATUS THE DESTROYER IN THE FILM?????

Do you think they should have let him go on the Rampage in Latvia for a bit ? Kinda build the suspense before he returns to the US and and take on F4 ?
