Re: Yory Boy Campas 99th pro fight!!!!!
He has been around since he was 15...He has had some great moments and never went out on the easy track...Yori boy is a true warrior
Re: Yory Boy Campas 99th pro fight!!!!!
As a recent fan of the international boxing scene outside of the UK, I only really became aware of him recently with his great role in the fantastic fight with John Duddy, but looking back over his record with such names as De La Hoya on his record, getting to 100 fights is an amazing feat.
Re: Yory Boy Campas 99th pro fight!!!!!
Campas is one of the fighters who knocked down Trinidad in the early rounds, only to get knocked out himself a few rounds later.

What was much more impressive about that fight is the punches that Yori boy took from Tito and kept pressing... He is tough as nails and was especially so back then.

That must rank up there with some of the top ko ratios for fighters who have had fairly long careers (maybe 40+ fights)

Yo Ice, that was no mere arm punch that knocked down an off balance Tito. I recorded the fight live and still watch the tape to this day. It was a short/compact upper-cut that staggered Tito on the inside. In fact, it was the only time that I thought Tito was really hurt in any of the knockdowns he suffered before Hopkins. The fight was one of the most action packed of Tito's career and Campas was 55-0 when he fought Tito!! Many people judge Tito on his fights with Hopkins and Winky, but before that Tito fought only the best and was practically unbeatable and 147-154. What excitement he bought to the ring!!

and that was the fight that basically gave him the phobia of his own blood, until the Duddy fight, all of Campas's losses came by TKO, and the only one to really knock him out was Trinidad, all the other fight were him quitting from the sight of his own blood, so was glad to see him deal with it and be able to move on, cause honestly i thought that Campas was winning his fight against Daniel Santos and then when the blood came pouring he called it quits

Well when i see it didn't look much of a punch more of a jolting punch bit like what Hatton caught Collazo with jolting punch.
