It seems the sparing took place in April 1990 a week before Thomas Hearns fight with Michael Olajide.
Gerald McClellan at the time had a 15-13-2 (13ko's) record.

Very good sparring. Hearns is not going all out and neither is McClelland but you can see how they might have matched up. Hearns sharpshooting and McClelland trying to close the gap.

I don't think Roy ever sparred Ray Leonard.. Sparring is not that significant really.
