Barry Hall offered Hopoate fight
A Tasmanian boxing promoter is willing to shell out $100,000 for Aussie Rules football star Barry Hall to fight rugby league bad boy John Hopoate (pictured) in Hobart next summer.
This is a big deal in Aust where football can attract crowds of more than 100,000 people.
Austrtalia's top boxing agent says Hall can make $10 mil from boxing and be a bigger star than Anthony Mundine.

Mayb he can calm down a lil in the compromise rules then!!!!
Re: Aussie footballers go to war in boxing
what's compromise rules? was it when they played 1/2 aussie rules an 1/2 Gaelic? was he been a dirty fucker or somet.
Re: Aussie footballers go to war in boxing
Ya motor that was it...
Ah im just bitter cos im Irish!!! The Irish team is always more skilled, but gaelic is jus not as physical a sport and the Aussies figured out that if they used their superior size that they would negate the superior skill of the Irish.
Hall was'nt actually dirty. He was team captain n ya gotta respect his athleticism.
But ya gotta say a LOT of the Aussies were playing Dirty.
