Re: Mayweather has no choice
They'd be awesome fights and they'd probably do a lot of good for the sport but you cant make him fight anybody.
Re: Mayweather has no choice
Mayweather should either fight those guys ....a middle weight or just retire and get the fuck out of the sport. I dislike him he's not winning over any fans for the sport even though he is a great classic style pugilist specialist
Re: Mayweather has no choice
Cotto already has a contract to fight Margarito next, so it's understandable if Mayweather fights Mosley this fall, since Cotto isn't available anyway.
In my perfect world, Floyd fights Shane this fall and then Cotto next summer.
I think Mayweather destroys Hatton but I wouldn't mind seeing it since it would be such a big event.

beating Hatton and Cotto would be a great move on Mayweathers part since his style would work well with theirs. I think he would beat both guys rather easily. Hatton is a very good fighter. He should stay at 140 since 147 looks a little big for him after seeing him fight tonight. Cotto is good for now, but his chin will fail him eventually.
Re: Mayweather has no choice
Floyd's got more options than Oprah's got ass...& even though she's lost all that weight...we still a big 'un! ;D
Re: Mayweather has no choice
38 fights and only being in your early 30's is a bit premature to walk away from the sport. I dunno about hatton, but cotto would definitely get him $.

Mayweather will not walk away. He is being a bit dramatic.. He is trying to say he is untouchable, and to fight the lesser guys is not worth it anymore. So he is waiting for the big fights as though saying that is all he is worth. But he will fight again. My guess is that his next fight might be the winner of Hopkins/Wright. Sounds crazy doesn't it ?

I dunno about all that but if he were to face the winner of hopkins/wright and win it'd be absolutely insane.

yeah I know. And if he loses he can just say he was too small. My guess is that Wright will beat Hopkins and then a Wright/Mayweather fight is not too big a size difference compared to what Hopkins would have been. If Mayweather won he would be in good shape as far as boxing history.

Him and hopkins could never happen. no way is hopkins getting down to 154 or mayweather even capable of going up yet another division. Wright and Floyd at 154 is a possibility tho. Thats gonna be a str8 up boxing clinic.
