Remember the mooted 1 night Heavyweight Super Tournament idea?
Guys. Last year there was an 8-man Heavyweight super Tournament set up last year that ended up being cancelled at short notice. I noticed alot of boxing magazines at the time offered it some pretty good coverage, and many of the fighters involved suggested they joined because it'd breathed life back into boxing.
The idea was quarter finals, four-threes in each match with one guy taking hope the belt/trophy.
I think Chris Byrd, Oliver McCall, O'Neil Bell, Chazz Witherspoon were all involved in it.
Even though it was cancelled, it was stated that they still hoped to stage the tournament at a later date. Did anyone think this was a good idea? and would it have breathed life back into a division currently lacking in public interest?

It is good idea IMO. I'd definitely want to watch it if they could persuade a line up of similar class that they had to turn up.

They should do what they do in wrasslin. stick em all in the ring and the last one standing wins.
