I've been training on my own to get in shape for the last couple months, now im in the processes of looking for a gym I found one really close to my house but it's a house gym,so my question is should i consider it an option.

Anyways have you checked the place out? How's the guy who's running it, is there a decent trainer their, how's the dues (costs), do they have some essential equipment? (heavybag, other punching bags) They probably don't have a boxing ring and therefore you'd be really limited by the kind of sparring you could get done. Anyways these are the things that you should consider first.
When I lived in Phoenix there were several gyms that I ran across that were run out of houses, garages, even a corner of a construction companies warehouse. It may work in your favor in terms of individual attention from your trainer because in many gyms there will be 40 boxers and only 3 trainers on a given day. He probably knows people at other gyms so it can be good for sparring as well, if you get the chance to work with guys at several gyms instead of the same 2 or 3 all the time.
yeah, he has a few heavy bags,speed bags, double end bags and he does have ring, i was Surprised by that, the cost is 60 a month, its open 5 days a week for 4 hours a day,

How's the trainer? It may be worth it if can spare plenty of time.
the trainer looks like he's a good guy well i might give it a shot thanks for your guy's Advice, i wasn't to sure because it was a home gym but it sounds good and its like 5 minutes from where i live, so i think I'll give it a shot, thanks
You can use the month as an evaluation period, find out if the trainer is giving you and time, find out if the sparring is any good, that kind of stuff.
Non smart alecky awnser,in all honesty,getting solid funding for a gym is highly difficult,even well known fighters like Ann Wolfe,Larry Holmes,and Joe Frazier are tight keeping their gyms afloat,so alot of good trainers are just using their homes for their training facilitiesQuote:
