Booth v Napa 6/7/07
Cheers Curtis mate ;D
Booth vs. Napa Sure To Be A Classic ( )
By Curtis McCormick
The vacant British bantamweight title will be at stake when Jason Booth clashes with Ian Napa this Friday, July 6 at the Robin Park Arena in Wigan, England but more importantly, the future prospects of each man hangs in the balance of this greatly anticipated showdown.
For Booth, 27-4 (10), the bout will determine if he still has the goods to compete at top level following the loss of his IBO super flyweight title to Damaen Kelly in 2004 and subsequent two year layoff.
The 29 year old Nottingham man has looked sharp in his two wins since coming back to the ring in November of last year but this contest against Napa will surely be the acid test of Booth's comeback.
Ian Napa, 13-6 (0), also took a layoff following his fight with Kelly in 2005, but the sharply skilled Hackney based Zimbabwean is coming off a very good showing against European champion Simone Maludrottu in a failed title bid this past March.
This isn't the first time that Napa and Booth have squared off. The two met as flyweights with Booth retaining his British and Commonwealth titles by decision in 2001.
The stakes couldn't be higher but neither Booth or Napa would have it any other way in this winner take all thriller on the same bill as Mark Thompson's fight against Vincent Vuma for the WBC International light middleweight championship.
Frank Maloney Promotions presents Mark Thompson vs. Vincent Vuma for the WBC International Light Middleweight Championship on Friday, July 6, 2007. Tickets are priced at £70 and £35 and are available by logging onto www.frankmaloney.com or by calling the Box Office at. The fight is also televised live on Sky TV. Yeah should be a good little fight. I'm going for Napa. Even in defeat he's been fighting well recently. Will be tight either way.

Re: Booth v Napa 6/7/07
I'm doing alright now, thanks mate
Yeah Booth beat him last time plus Napa has only had a couple of weeks notice but I thought Napa did well last time, even though he lost, and reckon he can nick it seeing as it's certain to go 12 rounds.
