Marcus Beyer wants Jeff Lacy!
According to Sauerland Beyer wants a come back fight with Lacy to get another shot at Kessler!

This would be a great "come-back" fight for both of the fighters and would put the winner in a very good position to a title fight - who would win this?
Re: Marcus Beyer wants Jeff Lacy!
Yes, this is a fight both fighters need. I would have to favour Lacy though...
Re: Marcus Beyer wants Jeff Lacy!
Think Lacy takes this hands down. Beyer gave into the pressure of Bika and was really saved by a headbutt, don't think he could stand any sort of attack at this stage of his career. Think Lacy takes it.
Lacy was in Nate Cambell's corner tonight and he looked very fit. I hope he's close to a comeback but no need to rush things.
Re: Marcus Beyer wants Jeff Lacy!
For what? This would be a pointless fight. Beyer is shot. Lacy ain't shot. He just ain't that good.

Lacy had a 50-50 fight with Omar, Beyer had a 99-01 fight with the same fighter a few months later.
Beyer could only lose this fight on KO; not points.
My view: - 118-110 or like this
BEYER is levels above Tsypko and this guy boxed Lacy very well

Ranking points - they need each other to get the first spot

Like I said what would be the point? If Beyer wins, he beat a mediocre fighter. If Lacy wins, he beat a shot fighter. No point.

If that's the reason. Than go ahead, I guess.
Re: Marcus Beyer wants Jeff Lacy!
Beyer is the kind of fighter I see Super Middle prospects like Lucian Bute and Jean Pascal fighting but since Lacy has been injured for a year and off I guess its ok
Re: Marcus Beyer wants Jeff Lacy!
This is a great fight fgor Lacy at this point IMO. If he can thoroughly beat down a recognized guy it can do alot for him mentally & in the public eye. This fight could put him back on the scene. Even though Beyer is obviously past his best days this fight could do good things for Lacy in more than 1 way IMO.

AgreE - but if Lacy loses then he is very very done....
Re: Marcus Beyer wants Jeff Lacy!
Most definitely. But at this point it's s**t or get off the pot.
Re: Marcus Beyer wants Jeff Lacy!
Beyer or Bika then someone like Green or Manfredo would put Lacy right there to try to get another shot at the top imo. I think he could beat all 4, a fight with Kessler would be interesting, but I don't think Kessler gets past Calzaghe. But that shouldn't ruin a clash between those two imo.
Re: Marcus Beyer wants Jeff Lacy!
As long as Lacy keeps a plan B & can execute it if his straight ahead power fighting is not being effective then he will be able to deal with anyone. Not many people can deal with his come at you & bomb u out style so it's easy to become 1 dimensional. But when u run into the guy that can deal with it, well then ur up the creek without a paddle. There's absolutely nothing wrong with him keeping his style as is but hopefully he's using nore angles, defense, combinations, & his very under used/under rated jab. He just needs to tweak a few things. Birmingham is a heck of a trainer & can help Jeff to get past these things IMO.

CC 33 in a big way, hit the nail right on top of the head, exactly right. People are to quick dismiss a guy with one loss, but he's obviously got something and he has plenty of time to come back.
