Bernard in his thirities had a good shot against Jones in rematch
I have to say in the beginning I bashed hopkins after folowoing him at the end of his career I have to say now he was a far superior fighter than the version that lost to roy in the first fight, albeit at light heavy I think hopkins had a ral chanc eof beating a prime jones in a rematch... if he was busy enough, hopkins doesnt hit tremedously hard is not lightning fast but he has an overall package his defense is tight he doesnt throw wild and loopy punches like joens likes. i know beleive even if roy beat b hop the 2nd time it would be MUCH closer...

i dont think so, cuz hopkins became less busy as he hit his prime, jones can still beat him now imo, cuz styles make fights, and jones just has the right style to beat hopkins

Roy from when he went LHW all the way until he went to heavyweight would beat any version of Bernard we've seen. He beat Bernard convincingly with a broken hand! People say Bernard was green, but he already had more fights than Roy as a pro, and I am sure he had more than enough experience in a Philly jail.

Im not so sure any more to be honest... and i really would not feel that comfortable in picking roy at light heavy against hop now, hed lose as far as in his prime sure id give the nod to jones, but I have to admit i feeling suspect of jones as of late. With the exception of james toney who is a natural counter puncher jones really never did beat anyone with a high level of skill in their not his fault of course but he struggled with tarver in the first fight and to be honest I think tarver is a good fighter but a bit on the ordinary side, he does posses the physical stature to beat jones but his tools are ordinary. It was nice to see roy beat ruiz and pepople always bring up the fact that well holyfield struggled with ruiz and heres my reply... holy was past 37, jones was 35-36 and you see how far he slid past their so age is a HUGE factor after all roy got dominated by c fighter and koed. With tarver roy had less of an excuse...
