On closer inspection....

I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, and I may be wrong but it appears that Michael Katsidis was landing repeated elbows during the potentially career ending bout with Czar Amonsot. He used what appear to be elbow strikes with his right elbow 3 times just in the 1st minute of the first round, and keeps doing it during the entire fight. Amonsot's face shows clear trauma in the area on the top left of his head where it looked like Katsidis was landing the elbows.

Another thing I noticed is, that Larios and Amonsot were both in fights involving 8oz Reyes gloves, and I can't think of the last brain injury in the last few years that DIDN'T involve 8oz Reyes, Leavander Johnson, Victor Burgos, Kostya Tszyu's rumoured shadow on an MRI, if any one can think of any more, and also the gloves please add it in, because it is a big issue.

No there weren't any elbows landed he just throws punches with his elbows extended higher than usual and it might apear that he is landing elbows but he isn't.

Yeah, I've noticed Katsidis' right elbow too - landing on Amonsot's head 2 or 3 times . I don't think they were hard enough to create brain injury though. But still, that was some dirty tactics from Katz.

I noticed that he throws trhe right hand with the same action each time that your talking about, and most of the time the elbow wasn't going in, but there was a spot on Amonsot's head which seemed to be where the elbow was landing REPEATEDLY, the marking was a lot like what you get in MMA fights when someone is being ground and pounded, I may be wrong, I could do with a vid of the 1st round of the fight to support this, I may well be wrong.

I saw at least two elbows that looked intentional and said something to my brother during the fight.
