What's Freddie Roache's secret?
Just watched Bernard vs. Tarver and he was way slower, and looked way more the old man he is. Also I was like I thought Oscar looked a lot slower against Mayorga than he did against Mayweather, and after watching that fight Oscar also looked about five years younger than he was. My question is whats Roach's secret? Why can't he make Toney look younger anymore? Just how good is he and his methods?
Re: What's Freddie Roache's secret?
I dont think its that he has techniques to work on speed as it is he builds confidence bin his fighters so they fight at their best and look fresh. Toney is done but he really trained himself in recent years. Freddie brings out the best in his fighters but doesnt change them or their styles, just their mentality.

Well whatever he does, seems to increase his fighters speed, sharpness, etc.

i guess he trains them side by side with young energetic boxers that will surely force the older guy to step up in training.
like ward and gatti though battle worned. they trained together but gatti will only excert as much effort as the other guy thats older than you.

He treats all his warriors like a father and son relationship. He's a good motivator.

Top bloke and top trainer. Respect him for the way he goes about his illness and how determined he is not to let it affect his life, he also knows how to get a boxer in mint condition.
