Do the BAD petitioners feel silly now?
By all accounts the Baldimor Forrest fight proved to be a very entertaining matchup. Forrest looked impressive possibly getting back to something approaching his best, Baldimor took some powerful shots and kept on coming.
Seems like it was a good night of boxing after all.
Maybe HBO were correct to screen it.....maybe ;)

What a solid fight, even though one sided. I never understood all this outcry on hear for it being a horrible matchup. I did get the winner dead wrong though.

Forrest looked awesome tonight, he put on a great display of boxing, threw everything in the book moved extremely well and was anything but boring... For a one sided fight it was very entertaining I thought. And god damn what the hell does Baldomir have for a head.. He just never ever stops coming forward, no matter what Forrest landed he wouldn't even blink. A very very limited fighter nonetheless though.. He really doesn't do anything well besides plod on and take a beating.

I went with MD thinking Baldo would bring on the heat in the end and Forrest would gas out....
Well Forrest was really tired but so was Baldo.... :-\

Beating Baldomir is not anything special - Søren Søndergård did it better than anyone back in 1998. But of course it only counts if one American fighter did it.
Baldomir stopped Mikkel Kessler's trainer's (Richard Olsen) son's boxing career. Frank Olsen. He was like 30-0 before being stopped in the 10th. Olsen was never the same again and stopped within a year of the defeat.

Yes, in 1998 Baldomir was in his prime not like the washed over guy of today.

Nothing, it is just so much easier to be an American boxer than a boxer from anywhere else due to the stupid hype that US boxers get. I dont like that issue as pure quality of a boxer should be the issue not the passport.

Every country in the world supports their own fighters. America is actually the most impartial country in the world, rarely do you hear Lampley, Merchant et all cheering for their national fighter.
Watch a Brit fight a foreigner in the UK or an Aussie fight an American in Melborne, or a German fight anybody in the motherland and you'll see what real partisan broadcasting is ;)
