gain the status of a legend like sugar ray or hagler within the general boxing following and its fans... i think they should, whoever wins this fight has nothing left to prove imo, both have beaten legends, mayweather more yes but either way whoever wins should automatically be put in the catagory or the sugar rays etc
nope there's nothing mayweather can do to win over most....people just continue to cling on whoever his current opponet is in hopes that he looses....which is way more important than seeing whoever he's beating at the time win.
I say Maywether could do it, but he would have to fight acouple more fights to make sure no one doubts him.
Hatton won't get there with just this fight. He has to do more.

Mayweather deserves to be classed with the ATGs, because he is an absolutely PHENOMINAL talent. But the sad fact is that most fans have their heads too far up their ass to distinguish between TRUTH and BIASED BULLSHIT. Floyd is cocky, brash, and has a lot of haters, so naturally they'll do everything they can to discredit him.
But if he beats Hatton, even the biggest haters have to give him his due.

If Hatton wins this fight he goes down in the history books alongside Duran and Julio Cesar Chavez, as one of the greatest boxing warriors p4p there has ever been.
If Mayweather wins it's 1 step further to being the best multi weight champion of this era, and maybe of all time. He goes a mile past Oscar if he beats Hatton. I don't care what weight its at, or how you cut ut, a Ring Champion that has beaten Kostya Tszyu and Castillo withing 4 rounds looks great on any resume' no matter how you cut it.

the hate has acctully already started. a couple years ago people were begging for and undefeated PBF to fight and undefeated Hatton. i always said PBF would beat hatton. now everybody else see this as an easy fight and is hating on PBF for fighting hatton.
