Celestino Caballero - what the hell to make of him?
This guy is really unorthodox, he holds his hands like Mayweather, and then all of a sudden he throws wild shots a bit like Kelson Pinto, pulls back with his chin out to dry, at the same time he'll use his elbows, shoulder or anything else. He also reminds me of Carlos Maussa, he's so wild, his feet are all over the place and yet he gets some power into the shots, he's dirty as can be, and has great spirit. He looked a bit amateurish tonight, I don't know if he's a world beater at 122lbs, but he's one to watch.

It's weird, mate. Three years ago, at 28, he looked washed up after a KO by a borderline journeyman and a knockdown loss. Suddenly he's called up as an opponent to showcase Ponce de Leon, who was 24-0 (23) at the time, wins a handy decision and goes on a great streak.
The 122 division has to be in the top few right now for exciting match-ups. Vasquez, Marquez & Ponce de Leon of Mexico. He has unfinished business against fellow Panamanian Corboda who decked him while winning easy points. There's also Molitor who could be the sleeper of the division. Throw in the Thai fighters, Bernard Dunne of Dublin and any of the decent banties and there's a lot of fights to be made.

I think that at the weight Caballero will cause problems for anyone going in with him....not only is he tall, he's awkward and very difficult to deal with. However, he's not entirely convincing, and looks open sometimes, but he seems to keep on winning.
Good for entertainment anyway.

I don't like him at all.....His fight with De Leon was the highlight of his career...I attest that win more to De Leon having a bad night more then Caballero being skilled...He is tall and a bit awkward but IMO a stead attack without throwing wild is the way to beat him....If there had been some body work against him last night then we would have seen him lose...When will some of these guys learn you have 12 rounds...kill the body the head goes with it....especially that body.....I mean it is boxing 101....

Excellent description, yes he's an interesting fighter. That little dude he fought was better than I thought he would be - if he had a bigger punch, maybe he could have won that fight.
