Chevez Jnr what do we think??
I think this guy is basically poooooooooh, i saw his fight last night against the journeyman who looked about 4 weight classes below Chevez, he threw the kitchen sink at him and some more and the guy wasnt even stunned never mind hurt, what do you guys think?
Im not sure what his whiskers are like but if that small man Brown kept coming after feeling Chevez's shots hit the spot time and time again, i think someone like Gomez will probably be to much for him, from what i saw last night this guy will never be world class imo.

This kid is VERY young still and they are doing everything right with him...They know he needs to grow into his body yet and lacks the power thats why he has not been rushed into anything....Lets face it just on his name they could have had him a title shot by now with the way the system is set up.....
They will conntinue to do what they are...until this kid is ready for the big stage.....
Re: Chevez Jnr what do we think??
He is going to have to step up sometime soon, i know they are nursing him along but he has had over 30 fights and needs to fight somebody in the top 15 at least by the end of the year.
Collazo, Rodriguez, Quintana all come to mind. The WBC have him in the top 10 so let's really see what the kid can do!
Re: Chevez Jnr what do we think??
i think that he looked good, ok he didn't really hurt him but he beat the shit out of him, i mean he kept his cool and stuck to his gameplan, the way i see it, Chavez Jr. who didn't have an amateur career and fought a journeyman did so more impressively than Juanma Lopez who also fought a journeyman but was a member of the Puerto Rican National boxing team

Don't know who Rodriguez is, but Collazo or Quintana would just have a field day with him. I want to see him in against Gomez. I think he can really shine in that matchup.

chavez jr is basicly fighting his amateur career right now. don't expect him to do anything big anytime soon.
Re: Chevez Jnr what do we think??
Aint he like the same age as Rey boom boom, but his not in the same level. Rey bautista is a rare 20 year old.

Daniel Ponce DeLeon will expose Bautista as the glorified prospect that he is.
I have nothing against Rey, but he's getting thrown to the wolves way too early. He needed a couple more years (at least) to be thrown into a fight of this magnitude. Bad move by GBP.

He is nothing more than another US hype

that could be the case, I actually mention that before. A 20 year old like rey should be pounding on tune up fighters. But his getting big fights already, what if he wins thats why I stay confident. Boom Boom could be that damn good at this early age, and he'll just get even better so its a win-win situation for boom boom, i guess.
Re: Chevez Jnr what do we think??
or he could just get ruined mentally ala Trinidad vs. Vargas :-\
Re: Chevez Jnr what do we think??
I don't expect him to have a title shot any time soon but he does need to step it up. Fight some real contenders. 30+ fights is enough to go to the next level.

You're missing the point, ANYONE that fights or has fought in the US is over-rated, according
to this tweener wonder.
