Need Jump Rope Routine

Well I havn't began boxing but soon I hope I will but for right now I am getting into tip top shape just started a few weeks back. I am 17 5'10'' 195lbs and i know I am a little stout dude I have been told over and over but im really quick and strong for my size :D.....anyway my question is what kind of jump rope routines can i do? I love jump roping one of my favorite exercises i do and I can do the standard feet together, one leg (left or right) and I also can alternate between one leg which btw took me forever to get down. I am just look for things that beginning boxers or even pro boxer do with their jump rope any help will be mucho appreciated. - Adam

Look for a jump roping book by Buddy Lee, he goes over a bunch of good techniques, routines and how to go about jumping rope. It's worth looking for the next time you swing by the library.

This is a great book, I just got it last week off of Amazon for 10, with shipping. Buddy Lee was a 2 time All American from Old Dominion Univeristy in Wrestling and an Olympic Medalist in wrestling as well, as a side a note. Muhamed Ali said hes the best person on the rope hes ever seen. Check out some of his routines on youtube, hes AMAZING

It's easy dude, just remove 'uk' from the youtube url and it'll do the rest. You only need an <embed> tag if you're posting a vid from another site. ;)

All you have to do is hit the youtube button over the post you are writing,
3rd from the left right above the smileys
and then copy and paste just the video ID number
for example DHUlXF7rGIw which is the number after the equal sign
on youtube that's it.

Right thanks Chris - now I feel like a complete idiot for not recognizing Floyd Mayweather! I have no excuse!
