The Peak-a-Boo Style Question
Does anyone know why this style is not followed by anyone anymore? Cus D'Amato was the peak-a-boo guru and got both Floyd Patterson and Mike Tyson won the heavyweight title with it. When used properly it was the most awesome thing I saw, hit and not be hit

Re: The Peak-a-Boo Style Question
I think with Tyson being that little shorter than most of his opponents it worked wonders. He would duck so low that he was incredibly hard to hit and then jump up with those huge hooks. Im not sure how tall Patterson was though?

It is not a style for everyone....You have to be built for it....Tall guys can not use the peek a boo because it would not serve the purpose.....Even the version that Patterson used was not that to the effect of Tyson.....
It serves the short arms....and muscular buildLets you attack at full force yet absorb the punches that are bound to come because you have no choice but to step in the other guys range.....
When used by the right guy the right way it is an absolute amazing style.....A bnyoung Tyson made the style almost flawless
