The man glides like a ghost, and is almost balletic in movement with the Boxers...so Mickey Vann for me lol. :dancer:
Vann is a bit of a legned, I remember when he disqualified Steve Smith cos Darkie got in the ring and pushed him, Darkie said after the fight "If I'd have had have hit Mickey Vann, he would have known about it, the pipe cleaner would have bent,".
Throwing out the towel of Graham Earl's corner was another masterstroke of his. And the catchphrase, "I want no naugh'ies with the ed", classic.
Richard Steele is the SHAFT of boxing.
He may not be around anymore, but Willie Pep should certainly be looked at as the all-time "nippiest" referee.
