How Should I Train
Hi Im 15 and I weigh 128 pounds and i want to become a boxer. In September of 2004 I boxed someone and he hit pretty hard and I started felling like I was going to black out so I quite and now at school everyone that was their is making fun of me because i lost And I was wondering if anyone could tell me and ways to do good in boxing I have a 110 pound punching bag and some punching gloves but i dont have very much money to buy anything. And what are some of the things i Should do And somethings I shouldnt do before A boxing match. I am going to train for a full year and box this kid in september again and hopefully I beat him and if i dont then i will just have to train harder.
Thank You,
Boxerjl

Re:How Should I Train
if ya doing boxing at home just do it every day, may not be the correct thing 2 do but since i have been busy as of the past few months and havent been able 2 get 2 the gym thats wot i do.
just go at it everyday and try not 2 hurt yaself, itll build ya strenght up slowly but surely and just visualise the bag as ur opponent if ya want some more encouragement, keep ya guard up and dont go at him hammer and tongs straight up get used 2 him and speed up gradually, but like i sed bout the trainin, may not be the best way 2 go about things.

Re:How Should I Train
I wouldn't recommend hitting the heavy bad every day. I do it once every 2 days. On the days I don't train on the heavy bag, I punch in front of a mirror with gloves on for stamina, punch with no gloves on for and flexibility, and take a 5 lbs. dumbell in each hand and punch very slowly for about 2 minutes. This also works speed. I don't know how many rounds you should do the punching with dumbells in your hand; I do 3.
