Personally when Hollywood says "Inspired by a true story" its complete bollocks. Does anyone know if this film has any basis for the truth?
Was there an actual 'World Class Boxer' or was it just some bloke who once fought for a regional title as a last minute stand in ???
Bob Satterfield, ranked in Ring Magazines top 100 hardest punchers of all time...but he was like 50-25 with little defense and a glass jaw. Fought a few big name fighters.
His biggest wins were against Cleveland Williams and Oakland Blly Smith. He also lost by k.o. to Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, and Jake LaMotta. That LaMotta fight must have been a great fight it went 7 rounds with those 2 bruisers.
