What will happen when Tito lands a big left hook

Taking into account that Roy's not nearly as elusive as he was back in the day and that Tarver managed to land a left hook practically with his eyes closed. Lets assume that Tito does eventually land a clean left hook right on the button.

What will happen?

A. Jones falls flat on his ass and does not get up.
B. Jones legs wobble and he goes on a the retreat with Tito getting a wide UD or late stoppage
C. Jones is stunned but recovers and goes on to win a very cautious SD
D. Jones says "is that all you got?" walks through it like nothing and proceeds to batter Tito to get a wide UD or late TKO.

I would love it to be A but I think that is wishfull thinking. So I am leaning to C but would not be suprissed if it was D.

PS. How do you do the pole thing anyway?

Im not so sure it all depends where it lands on the chin on top of the head ect but all i know is Tito's power isn't going to be nowhere near as good as it was at Welterweight i think Jones still stop Tito in 11th round.

Im gonna go with C i dont think Roy has got over the 2 KO's he suffered and he knows one more loss and thats it. Tito will still have a lot of power behind his shots as he will have more weight behind them and he had a very hard puncher at WW. If Tito lands clean it will stun Roy and mentaly he will suffer and be very cautious and keep his distance.

I don't think anything.....I don't think Trinidad is dangerous as a puncher at 175....I think Jones will frustrate him.....just like Hopkins...The be able to do as he pleases...


Jones has not much left but this is all wrong for Trinidad...Size Style....Jones can hit a bit himself as well you know.........How will Trinidad react after being gone so long?

I'm thinking it's D...maybe they will both go down at the same time!

I agree this is the wrong fight for Tito and Roy will frustrate him all night, but if Tito lands a flush left hook early going then i think it will stun Jones and he will be come very cautious. Roy doesn't want to get hurt in the ring and he said it himself, thats why he wont go for the KO himself when he has the other guy in trouble.

Tito has no chance whatsoever. He'll either get knocked out in 7 or 8 completely onesided rounds or else hold on to lose a very lopsided decision.

I doubt he will even win a round.

Miguel Cotto or Shane Mosely would stand a better chance :-X

If Tito lands his best left hook Jones will go down like a card house, But I doubt it'll happen. I'm leaning toward A but there should be

F Tito doesn't land a punch in the whole fight

Roy has felt real power but naturally bigger guys than Tito. 99% of the time he can take a good punch. I really cant see Tito hurting Jones...or being able to land a big left hook..

If Trinidad pees on his boxing wraps and gets them nice and wet, then he is going to knock Roy Jones out :)

I usually keep quiet with these types of comments in other forums but please lets not do the hand wraps argument here. There has never been any proof or any official complaint. Is there even an official hand wrapping procedure? All I know, all anyone knows is that Hopkins camp asked Tito to re wrap his hand (never understood why it was just one hand either) before one fight. He had three fights after that and two ended in KO. You would think if there was a complaint, someone would be looking for it in future fights right.

Tito has been out for to long and Jones will be able to stay out of the way on Titos big shots a easy UD win for RJ.
