Jabber Killers FNR3 (Help)
hey whats up , i have a pretty good record on fight night round 3 - (48-4) 39KO - AVG opponent level , 9. (((PS3)))
Anyways , i was (48-1) last week (the guy who beat me was really talented , hell of a fighter)
but this week , i lost a fight to a guy who picked Jermain talor and jabbed the crap outta me! like , no hooks , no uppercuts , just jabbing .. i said ok .... rematch! so i backed him up in the corner right away and i got a few good shots on him but he still KOED me in round 9 .... Well stupid me i fought him again and he won the decision ...
Anyways is there a specific style i can use to adjust to these "Jabbers" of do i have to become one myself to beat him?

Neutralize his jab by blocking shots to the body and leaning away from head shots. Most of the time you want to make the most of you mobility so you shouldn't be pressing down on the block/lean button until he throws his punch. Once he becomes predictable you can start parrying the punch that he uses most frequently. If he's trying to cut off the ring just keep moving around in a circle so that even if he's going straight at you or sideways it won't matter.
Break him down with your jab, frustrate him, frustrate him, and counterpunch him if he decides to change his tactics.
Re: Jabber Killers FNR3 (Help)
A lot of people neutralise the jab by going into a shell while stalking, parrying and slugging where they can. Up at the higher weights this is definately most effective (Guys like Fraizer, Lacy & Big E have crazy power).
However this shell is rapidly leass effective as you move down the weight groups.
Hence if you find that more 'boxing' is needed, you'll need a different set of tools to rely on.
One way is to play them at there own game... The other is to be the more dynamic guy, be some one with more agility and speed (where possible).
From Heavyweight down to Middleweight, the jab is pretty hefty. Takes far to much energy if you ask me. So you really dont want to take the jab lightly at all. (Especially at Heavy & Light Heavyweight)
At Welterweight (were the Judge Jab style stops) you can afford to use guys like Dela Hoya in the mix, with his 'Fast' hands due to the jab being a little more tame.
Re: Jabber Killers FNR3 (Help)
You will notice in the game a timed right straight right to the body utilises a step in motion, ducking below a jab and landind it does the job!

I usually block punches to body religiously.
