Would LEWIS come out of retirment to box Bowe
Hes the one champ he never got to box. 2 days in the gym and he would be ready for Bowe.

Lewis is probably well past it at that point and bowe isn't gonna be considered an important win if lewis fought him and beat him.

no he is retired - end of
its annoying looking back isn't it that this is one fight we never got to see - as a big fight fan this is probably in my top 3 in disappointments of fights we never got to see due to boxing politics.

Lennox ain't commin back! He is past the fact Riddick Bowe didn't want to fight him. Besides Lennox would destroy his fat sloppy a$$

Lennox is definatly past it, but hes not half as far gone as Bowe is. If this fight were to happen, it would be a sad day for boxing. Bowe shouldn't be anywhere near a ring anymore, and he'd more than likely end up taking a beating and getting KO'd by an over-the-hill Lennox. And for what? It would mean absolutely nothing. A showdown between Prime Bowe and Lennox would have been a great HW fight, two huge guys with a great skillset going at it to see who was #1 of that time. But it never happened, that ship sailed almost 15 years ago. It'll be forever known as one of the great fights that just didn't happen.

It would never have happened as Bowe just didn't want to fight Lennox, preferring to throw his belt in the bin than accept Lewis as his mandatory.

It wasn't politics that prevented this fight, it was Chicken Bowe.
They could have circumvented the politics & just fought if Bowe wanted to.
He did it with Holyfield the 3rd time round, presumably because he thought Holyfield was no threat.

I don't see Bowe being any more keen to make a fight with Lewis now than he was back then, it was an almost certain beatdown back then....and it still is now. Not that Lewis is coming out of retirement, he's a smart guy and doesn't need the money, and realises he doesn't need to do it for his legacy.

Actually Bilbo they were going to fight if Lewis beat McCall but we all know what happened McCall upset Lewis was on comeback trail and he didn't look that great vs Ray Mercer struggling and winning controversial decision and by the time Lewis had gotten back on top Bowe was already finished and i don't think Lewis would destroy Bowe as easy as your saying either Lewis had struggles with lesser men than Bowe aka Mercer, Bruno, Briggs,
