Steve Cunningham
Great interview on Boxingtalk here http://www.boxingtalk.com/pag/article13270.html
Cunningham seems like a great guy, talks respectfully about fellow fighters and like Glen Johnson will fight anybody anywhere.
Won his World Title in Poland after apparantly being robbed first time around and is now off to Germany to face his mandatory.
I'm still yet to see him fight though, any of you guys seen him? What's he like, could he be a player alongside the big boys of Bell, Mormeck and Haye?
I hope so, I always admire fighters who are prepared to leave home soil to face a dangerous fighter abroad.

Re: Steve Cunningham
The noise coming from Macca's team is that it is pretty much nailed on that Cunningham is coming down to Cardiff on November 3 to fight Enzo Maccarinelli in a Cruiserweight unification bout.
He had fancied the bout back in July, but in the end there wasn't enough time between Cunningham winning the title and then going out to fight again.
I agree that Cunningham's attitude both to going away to fight and in discussing other fighters is positive and respectful...but its disappointing to hear he thinks he's fighting Marco Huck. I'm sure Warren can throw some step-aside money his way to make an unification happen.

Re: Steve Cunningham
I aint overly impressed with cunningham as a complete fighter to be honest... he is pretty slick and one of if not the best boxer at the weight... but i think he lacks power and thats why he wont amount to a great deal... i think he got lucky in his last match too, i it wasn't for a thumb to the eye that made the polish fella take a knee to regain his sight and steve getting a 10-8 round i don't think he would of won the fight, draw or SD... I give steve credit for fighting away from home, but he has to as well...
The US don't care about him, bell couldn't make it in the us, and with Don King as your promoter he will put you to fight in poland agsint their champ coz you know it will be a turn out, he will take you to Germany coz the germans are like the second highest PPV buyers in the world i believe, and agasint their guy it will sell out...
For cunningham to fight in the US he would need to be at another weight, or low down on a second rate undercrad....
It would be a shame if we didn't see cunningham v mac in november tho because of a bullshit mandatory... and if hes got one i don't think we will se Don King picking enzo over an easy money making german mandatory either sadly....
