*Dog's rescued from rapper DMX's home, also remains of several dogs were found*
KPNX television in Phoenix is reporting that the Maricopa County, Ariz. Sheriff's Department raided rapper DMX's home this morning in Cave Creek and removed 12 distressed pit bulls.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was not home at the time. News 12 is reporting a large cache of weapons was found in the home as well.
DMX has a long rap sheet (pun intended), which includes a guilty plea to animal cruelty charges in 2002.
UPDATE: According to DMX's attorney Murray Richman, it was all about the blazing Arizona heat. Richman claims that someone reported the dogs were at risk because of the extreme temperatures, telling TMZ "Earl has a caretaker, who obviously wasn't taking care. Earl loves those dogs." Richman added that DMX isn't even in Az and hasn't been there for several months because he's off working on a project.

Earl Simmons? Thats like the whitest anti-gangster name you can have. That's almost as bad as being named Russel Simmons (yes I know that that's what run's name is and hes a huge pioneer in rap). He says he was on vacation and i fully believe had he been there, they'd've been taken care off. Wonder how many days go by before this is labeled "another peice of evidence that there's an anti-black conspiracy". He's gonna get in far more trouble for the guns and the emphasis (I've seen this reported and they are definitely emphasizing the dog part) wouldn't have been put on the dogs if it wasn't for this being in the aftermath of the vick thing.
BTW mick, that "several" is actually three which is paired with the word "few. "Some" is 4 and beyond that, many and several can be applied to 5+. This of course only stands when a small number of things is involved. If 300 could've been harmed but only 10 or so were, it's a few.

....this does not surprise me as I remember him getting in trouble before

From the word "distressed," i take it they may have been neglected rather than abused. Any idea on the "project," he's working on? (Album or Film.)
Great pre-fight music is DMX's stuff. Really angries up the blood.

Media only covers who they want you to know about. I'm pretty sure the famous actors who own like 6 homes and have pets' animals are 'distressed' too but you don't hear about it.
And they say a lot of guns were found in his house, is ANY of that a surprise?

I lived in Phoenix for 3 years. Cave Creek is in the running for "Bull-dog Seizure" capital of the world. That isn't rare up there. I recall a bunch of dogs and pigs seized due to 'pig-baiting' events.
