does BRITISH BOXING need Macarenelli v Haye ;-)
once again i think it does :D
hope i'm not wearing rose tinted glasses here 8) but the domestic tearups of the 80's are what got a whole generation involved in boxing. staying up wi my dad till 11 o'clock watching benn and eubank go toe to toe was what my childhood memories are made of.
i cant help thinking (and i hope i'm wrong) that we are forgetting about boxing at grass roots level.......kids cant stay up till 4.30 in the morn watching the quality matchups in america so we're losing future champs
anyone agree or disagree ???

I don't think British boxing will die without out, but it defo should happen.
Re: does BRITISH BOXING need Macarenelli v Haye ;-)
Id say the 200 lbs Division would need it more. Although its comming along quite nicely.
British Boxing dosent need it that much. As long as they both have successfull careers that should be fine.
Besides, Haye wants (needs) to be in with the Heavies, due to his weight.

i do actually think this one could well happen, hopefully on home soil. America needs entertaining heavyweights so let them see what we've got over here rather than goin over the pond, cap in hand, like the stero typical British poodle! ;D (what happened to the Bulldog?)
