Then at mid-afternoon the regime was as follows:
15 minutes of stretching,
15 minutes of shadow boxing - but not just using my fists; using my feet and body to develop agility,
3 to 6 rounds (of 3 minutes each) on the heavy bag - moving around it; playing with it,
3 rounds (of 4 minutes each) of either sharpening up my jab on my special small punchbag, sharpening up my reflexes on my swungball device, or pad work - I would direct Ronnie where I wanted him to place the pads as I had certain shots in mind I needed to perfect,
6 rounds of skipping (jump rope) - but with no breaks; I would skip straight through the 4-minute clock on the wall,
Then 50 sit-ups followed by 20 hits in the stomach with a medicine ball.
6 weeks out (from a fight), the morning conditioning remained the same but the gym regime changed to thus:
15 minutes of stretching,
30 minutes of shadow boxing,
3 to 12 rounds of full contact, hard-as-possible sparring,
Then skipping, speedball and sit-ups.
Finish 2 or 3 days out, but finish sparring 1 day out. If I trained 1 day more than you, I had a right to win.

We use to help him out with the sparring. Sparring was hard he was always fucked after and do nothing same at the start do 2rds shadow. But as I say the sparring was hard good conditioning work. He wasnt a fast runner there was one time a woman pushing a pram passed him.
Re: what CHRIS EUBANK posted on his site forum ?
Yeah?! What was his padwork l8ike?
Re: what CHRIS EUBANK posted on his site forum ?
He followed me around for a bit, took him on the pads about a dozen times, he was qiuck on the uptake. Actually I love him to bits but could never work with him for any length of time he would driven me crazy, thats probably why I am. Hes a Nobble.
Re: what CHRIS EUBANK posted on his site forum ?
Thats really interesting. He was a sponge for boxing Knowledge but its my opinion that he was limited a little by not really having a trainer.
I particularily dislike the comment
I would direct Ronnie where I wanted him to place the pads as I had certain shots in mind I needed to perfect,
Although you no what, it worked for him, he's twice the fighter im turnin out to be.
Re: what CHRIS EUBANK posted on his site forum ?
What Chris had was self belief in abbundance and he was one hard motherfucker. If he had done lightheavy when he should theres no telling what mite have happened. Technecally he wasnt that good, but the thing that makes great fighters he had Balls. When the going got tuff he got going.

Interesting - I was kinda wondering how anyone could do hard sparring every training for almost the entire 6 weeks out from a comp (if I read that correctly) - I'd have thought it'd wear someone down too much if their sparring partners were able to land much.
What's a nobble?
Re: what CHRIS EUBANK posted on his site forum ?
This was Eubank's way - not for the feint-hearted
He says in New York in the 80's, 'sparring was everything and sparring was fighting'
Re: what CHRIS EUBANK posted on his site forum ?
They would SparHeavy for 2 weeks and it was heavy Eubanks always came second I was always concered for his well being but he said it was okay, Ronnie use to shake his head. Nobble is amusing.
