he was at the k1 event yesterday and he came in the ring before the sakuraba fight and said he was gonna do 1 more fight, and he was interviewed by k1, i think it was after the event, and he said he wanted sakuraba

k1 said they want to do something else with sakuraba on new years so they may have him fight yoshida instead

Pretty shocking...Rickson has to be in his mid forties by now...Even though Sakuraba isn't what he used to be he has been fighting regularly and Yoshida is probably Rickson's equal on the mat and tough as nails. Not smart move for the Gracie camp...Just another grasp for relevance in a sport that has evolved past them.

This is v exciting news IMO, even though Rickson is pretty unproven in the bigtime MMA organisations you have to admit there is an awesome aura about the man

No way should Sakuraba still be fighting. He should be claiming disability living allowance or incapacity benefit no way should he still be fighting professional, dude can barely walk or turn his neck :-\
